It is U3A Moonee Valley policy that only people who have been fully vaccinated may become members. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
A comprehensive program of classes has been planned for 2022. However, the rise of the Omicron variant is problematic and its potential impact on our program is as yet unknown. Whether term 1 commences as planned on Monday February 7th will depend entirely on health advice and the requirements for use of Moonee Valley Council facilities.
U3A Moonee Valley Incorporated is a voluntary, not-for-profit community organisation which provides educational programs to promote healthy, active ageing and opportunities for lifelong learning. Membership is open to anyone over 50 years who is retired or semi-retired.
Moonee Valley Region U3A, now known as U3A Moonee Valley, was established in 1997 for people of the third age (active retirement), to learn new skills, share knowledge and experiences and socialise in a relaxed, informal learning environment.
Courses cater to a wide range of interests. Classes are held in various locations throughout Moonee Valley, which is located in the inner north west of the Melbourne metropolitan area. U3A Moonee Valley gratefully acknowledges Moonee Valley City Council for the provision of community halls, rooms, neighbourhood houses and centres at low cost.
